According to a recent BVA Institute survey of TPE (small businesses) and PME (small/medium businesses), only 2% of French companies plan to develop their export business, showing it is never easy for an entrepreneur to go international. However, the current economic crisis is a unique opportunity for a TPE/PME, currently seeing its domestic market shrinking, to test out new international markets. Furthermore, businesses which export are often those with the capacity for innovation.
